Original Ore Zi Ni Clay
The kettle is crafted from original ore Zi Ni, a traditional zisha clay valued for its earthy character and naturally unglazed surface. With repeated use, the clay gradually develops deeper colour and a smoother patina.

Designed for Boiling Water
The body is engineered for direct water boiling and is compatible with both open flame and induction cooktops. This makes the kettle suitable for preparing water directly as part of the tea ritual.

Overhead Bail Handle
The tall overhead handle provides a stable grip when lifting and pouring hot water. Its elevated construction also keeps the handle clear of the heated body during use.

Wide Opening
The generous 8.8 cm opening makes the kettle easy to fill and clean. The broad mouth also gives convenient access to the interior between brewing sessions.

Generous Capacity
With a capacity of approximately 900 ml, Shan Quan is suited to individual daily use as well as preparing water for several people during a longer tea session.

Natural Patina
The unglazed Zi Ni surface changes naturally with use. Regular heating and handling gradually deepen its tone and create the warm, smooth appearance traditionally associated with a well used zisha vessel.
