The Ink Mountain Gaiwan combines the functional structure of a traditional three piece gaiwan with a carefully composed blue and white landscape. Mountains, rivers and pine trees move across the curved ceramic surfaces, while the subdued glaze gives the piece a more restrained interpretation of antique Chinese ceramic aesthetics.
With a capacity of approximately 190 ml when filled to 80%, it is designed for controlled tea preparation and gongfu brewing. The lid, bowl and saucer work together as a complete tea vessel, allowing the brewing process to remain precise while the landscape becomes part of the visual experience.
